Now I remember why it's been so long since I've been to a Rush's. Buns were stale. Burger, chicken filet, and hotdog were all just mediocre. Fries were hot, fresh, and not too salty, so that the real win. Tea was okay, but my lemon was moldy and gross, so I had to throw the whole drink away. Service was friendly and fast. So three stars, but that doesn't feel like it's worth a return visit.
I haven't been to this location in years, but I needed to stop in Columbia on the way out of Myrtle Beach when Hurricane Irma ran me out. I stopped for a chocolate milkshake (really wanted peanut butter, but they didn't have them). My chocolate shake was DELICIOUS, and the lady that served me was super friendly. 5 stars to Rush's for this visit!
UPDATE: Everything cleared seven days after the incident. The corporate office was very helpful in getting it refunded. After that, I had to wait for my bank.
Worth driving 130 miles if we get craving their food. There is NOTHING on the menu that isn’t wonderful! You must try the fries w/malt vinegar, a traditional favorite! And, they also have a drive thru! But no worries, inside & out the services is fast & polite! One of the locals favorite Iconic places to have an excellent casual dining experience!
Food was delicious, service was fast, and the customer service was great! However, my total was $23.73 and my card was approved for $19.12 and I owed them $4.61. My card was swiped again and was charged $28.48. I am hoping that it will be worked out since both transactions are "Processing" in my account. I can only think that the cashier added my remaining balance to the original balance before swiping my card the second time. Just make sure to check your receipt and acct! If it is not resolved by the time the charges clear in my account, a dispute will be filed. I will update the review after everything clears.
It was my first time eating at Rush's. I'm not from the region, so I'd heard so much about their great fried chicken. I got some kind of dinner basket with two pieces of chicken, fries, and slaw. The chicken was average and the fries were bland and soggy. The slaw was actually good, but I don't want to pay $9 to eat slaw.
