Considering the lack of communication, the difficulty in reaching someone, and the fact that they didn’t list the property in the time-frame they specified, I canceled my listing. They promptly refunded the charge, minus a $50 fee. Both Jason and Bob were very kind when I talked to them and they did apologize for the problems, but I didn’t have the confidence they would follow through in a timely manner if I went ahead with them.
I have moved on to my 2nd choice (list2move) and have been VERY pleased with the communication and responsiveness of the agent I am working with. She had the listing up in less than 24 hours and has emailed and called several times about different items. I have never had to wait more than a few hours for her to return my call and usually she answers right away. What a difference!
In April 2012 I was looking for a flat fee company to list my home. After much research I had narrowed it down to three companies. I tried calling Real Estate Advocates a few times and only got VM, but then Bob called me back and answered my questions about the process so I felt more confident. I had also sent an email earlier that day and Jason called me the next day to follow up on that email. I decided to go with them and placed my order. After clicking purchse, a screen came up with a list of links to forms, but that was it. I never received a receipt or a confirmation email or any further instructions. I tried several time to reach them, but always got VM until a day and a half later. I finally got a hold of someone who answered my questions about the forms and I sent all of it in with my pictures. I received an email stating that the listing would be up in 24 to 48 hours. Just before the 48 hours had passed I called to check on the status since I had not heard a word. I was told the listing had not been done and they were not sure why since they had all the paperwork. They promised that it would be done “if they had to stay up till midnight”, but by this time I had lost confidence.
