Awoke to no complimentary breakfast as you must pay in downstairs restaurant and they do Not accept cash.
Very dated hotel. The staff was nice, but the hotel itself could use some updating. Not the worst place I've ever stayed, but no where near the best. Convenient location if you're in Columbia, but you cpuld probably find better options nearby.
Horrible Service!
Browsed reviews but the overall rating had sold me based on the price and age of the hotel. In retrospect, I wish I had chose another hotel but we were tired and once we put our bags in the second room we received, I just put it all behind us. I managed retail for 10 years, the two words that come to mind we're lazy and unprofessional. The front desk clerk was great, but her work mates seem to loaf and not have anything to do. She seemed frustrated, and made a comment to another patron that had asked for a manager that she had left early again. The first room we were assigned had been marked ready, but towels we're on the floor, tv was one, water bottles in the room and the beds were slept in. Second room was fine. Could be an overall great place, but I've stayed in nicer for half the cost.
Still charged full price for both nights. Never offered any compensation.
This hotel attracts troglodytes that the staff are either unwilling or unable to control. Of course, this would not have been so bad if the hotel, which was quite under-booked, had spaced-out its patrons instead of cramming us on top of one another in rooms divided by paper-thin walls. Parking was ample.
Returned from all day funeral to find the room not cleaned. Spoke to cleaning lady on this 5th floor and she apologised and will get to it while we left for shopping and dinner. Returned again to uncleaned room. Housekeeping button roles to front desk and they only offer towels and toliet paper if we are willing to wait.
This is honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I've had in a while. The bed sunk in the middle really bad and my wife and I couldn't help but snuggle. The elevator two rooms down made a horrible screeching sound all night long, the TV wasn't hooked up( I had to plug in the cable box change the input, and wait for 15 minutes for it to work. When we entered the room the heat was on and set for 82, and the shower had little to no pressure at all. There is no breakfast buffet either apparently. Avoid this place, there are many other better options near by.
Just checked out and front desk didn't ask how may stay was. Also, woke up with small bite on my thigh.
