I've been a patient with this practice for more than 8 years and have received superb, friendly, and polite care in every instance.
We need a Zero Star option. I'm new in the area, and let's just say I'm neither impressed nor confident that this practice has the ability to treat patients with impatience due to uncomfortable medical conditions, at all. If you are encountering 10 over 10 pain, or frequently do, never expect that this practice will treat you nor listen to you with dignity. If you tell the physician or staff what your needs are (to see specialists, medicine renewals, etc.) they are handled with sarcasm, snippy attitudes and supplements containing allergens on your allergy list. They will insist that you did not get labs they requested, perhaps it's because they never did. I should have checked the reviews here before ever going to this practice last month. it would have saved me from the futile attempts to find a decent dr with a decent staff. I was never there for pain control, either. The nurse was decent as was the lady at the checkout desk, to be fair. You might want to find a different dr.
It was my first and my last visit. The receptionist was rude and basically called me a liar. Then to add injury to insult, a White doctor came in speaking Ebonics, I guess he thought he was coming down to my level as a Black. He spent the first few minutes inquiring about my weave and why "we" wear it so much. I stayed because I was already there, me and/or my 2 children but we won't be back. Very very disappointed!
I have been seeing Dr. Nusrat Shafi for about 3 years now. She has been a great Doctor and always has true concern for her patients.
I am a young chronically ill patient and can NEVER get an appointment here. My appointments keep getting pushed back because “the doctor won’t be available that week”. It took me a month to get a referral and when I did finally arrive at the beginning of June it was for scheduled for DECEMBER. Had I not gone to the ER for treatment all summer long who knows what state I would be in. Currently looking for a new Family Physician. I wish there were a “0” star option. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.
