The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful, despite the influx of people right near closing time. Be prepared to wait. That's not a criticism, it's just a fact, you can't walk in expecting to be seen in the next five minutes, because there will usually be around 5-10 people in front of you expecting the same thing. I took a book along and was seen in around an hour. The nurse and PA were both very professional and I did not feel rushed at all, even though I knew they had a long list of people after me. I would definitely come here again.
Don't go to this place, don't even consider it as an option.
I went to ER (costed me $1500 because the guy in urgent care wrote a note and ER admitted me as level-4 patient) and they did EKG & XRay and stuff and found nothing! Funnily, ER folks sent me back to my primary care physician - I went there after school is open and the doctor said that it was a "heartburn". Amazing right!?
I went there because of a pain around my breast - school was closed so was student health center. First the lady was like nothing is wrong, with first EKG. Then some other guy came and made another EKG and called an ambulance to send me to ER. He also gave me four aspirins and put an oxygen mask until ambulance comes? I got panicked, but luckily decided to drive by myself (saved me thousands of dollars).
Horrible, just horrible.
I have ready MANY negative reviews for this location and I don't get it! I've only come here a few times, and each time has been not only pleasant, but also FAST! The front desk staff has always been nice and the 2 different docs I've seen have explained everything, given me treatment options, and made sure I knew what was going on and felt good about it before I left!
I have student insurance and they first billed me $105, then I called them and told them they billed me for the office visit twice - they agreed and sent me another bill of $32 with some adjustment. I paid the bill and guess what, the next day I got another bill of $192 - again with two office visits. They basically say that the insurance company does not pay anymore.
I wanted to like this place, the people there are nice but literally everything took forever and I didn't even get my medicine or references to G.I doctors yet. You try to call them on the phone and they don't answer for over a hour sometimes.
The medical team and the billing guys both do not know what is going on. You may end up in an ambulance to ER and pay thousands of dollars. You may also end up with a random treatment and may get charged twice - and even if you notice, they may try to sneak and get money for both.
Horrible experience! After my visit, the bills and insurance related issues - they are the worst!
Wish I could give them a 0 if possible!! My husband drove me here after I cut my finger very badly with a large kitchen knife. I had it wrapped up and it was bleeding when I got there. There were 2 or 3 people ahead of me with colds/illnesses. I was told "it wasn't fair to take me before them" and that I had to wait the complete time or go somewhere else. NEVER have I heard of a Doctors Care to leave a bleeding, in pain, laceration patient in the waiting room. I went up to The Doctors Care on Beltline Blvd and they were very kind and took me in almost immediately. Terrible service at Forest Acres Doctors Care!! DON'T RECOMMEND!
