Issue #3: the oil change took approximately an hour & should have included an all points inspection, however, the "service air bag" and "low tire pressure" lights were on when I started my car after paying for the service. This really upset me because I had already been waiting, I was also advised that the oil change service included an all points check of my car's systems. I can only assume that didn't happen.
Well.... My car got fixed. But that was about it... They were out of coffee in the break room. No Courtesy Car so I had to wait there or get a ride home and back.The price I was given on the phone was different when it was time to check out even though I clearly asked the young lady was this price including labor and all.. She said YES this is you price to walk out the door. Once I brought this to their attention I did get a discount...That made me feel a little better .. then I got to my car. My dirty car. I am accustomed to a dealership washing and cleaning out my car after a service. I thought that was perk to getting your car fixed at the dealership, which Capital Hyundai does every time we take our other car, which is a Hyundai. Really wish I wish I could have went up the parking lot to the Capital Hyundai. With their comfortable waiting room full with coffee and tea and a clean car after my hours of waiting on my service.
My sales rep Tyson was great very professional organized and had no problem staying late. He made sure I understood all of the information presented and had no problems reiterating some of the info the next day since that's when the real questions generate. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone serious about getting a quality vehicle for a fair price.
My wife and her family purchased a Jeep Compass from the dealership. When they bought it the dealership offered a lifetime warranty on all mechanical parts excluding wearable items. The paper work for the warranty was 5-10 pages long listing everything that the dealership would replace for free. The warranty was very expensive (!) but we decided that it sounded like a good deal. Fast forward to 2017 and it's been like pulling teeth to get the dealership to honor the warranty. The first words out of their mouths anytime we have a repair is "that isn't covered". We've had multiple occasions where they have tried to tell us that we have a different warranty than we actually do. The last time the car was in the shop they "lost" our warranty and couldn't find it. A few years ago I printed a hard copy to make it easier for them to find it. Needless to say, we feel like we're getting ripped off every time we work with their mechanics because we paid for a big ticket warranty that they don't want to honor and conveniently seem to misplace.
Issue #1: I was not greeted upon my arrival for my appointment time. I had to wait for no less than 5 minutes to even be acknowledged. Then I had to wait and additional 5 or so minutes so the rep could "check my information". I was extremely annoyed by this time.
Issue #2: the rep quoted $75 for an oil change for my SUV, but I was quoted $55 two days prior.
Thanks to Ricky Ward for the best treatment we have received by Any dealership in this complete 100 mile radius from Columbia. Our salesman did his very best to see that he gave us every chance to get what we really wanted and also more than once went out of his way to help us and was not satisfied until we were happy! Again, if it wasn't for Mr Ricky Ward we might have not purchased a vehicle from Capitol, he needs to be awarded something more than an at a boy make him in a position that overseas every salesman there so you as a dealership can do awesome! The worst thing most salesman do is attack you as soon as you step out of your car, ( big turnoff ) and personally ticks us off. We like to look around a little and then if someone walks up to ask what type vehicle you are looking for is fine. Thank You again Ricky, hope to see you soon, David & Betty Hockemeier
