I finally got fed up waiting for a replacement propane tank after three more weeks. After all, they only have what 100 propane tanks on the lot. I asked if I could pick up the tank later, and get my camper back today. I asked that the camper be plugged in over night so I could verify for myself that the refrigerator is working. When I got there, the camper wasn't plugged in, so no way to verify whether the refrigerator was working. We left the refrigerator turned on (on DC) while we drove home, and plugged the camper in when we got home.
Why did I EVER give these guys two stars? Why doesn't Google allow zero stars. These guys are TERRIBLE. I took the camper in a month ago because the refrigerator isn't working. After struggling for a week to get a status on it, I finally managed to get a call back after complaining to my salesman about the service. I was told the refrigerator was working fine. They said the breaker had tripped, and needed to be reset. When I told the service manager that I had checked the power with a multimeter and asked why the refrigerator wouldn't run in propane mode either, I was told the refrigerator was fine, but the propane tank had a leak.
I can definitely understand the positive ratings for sales and finance. They are great. However, the service department is negligent at best. The service department incorrectly adjust the hitch they installed, causing several thousand dollars in damage to my vehicle. They DID fix this issue, but not without making me feel like it was my fault and they were doing me a favor. The manager is reluctant to complete ANY of the warranty work in a timely fashion. They also refuse to install the wire harness for the hitch or properly adjust the hitch, not that I trust them to anyway. All of this information is easily available by a simple phone call to ANY other Camping World location, which will readily discourage you from using the Columbia location for service.
Also there’s no loop around their parking lot. To turn around we had to take the car off the trail, take the trailer off the RV, turn the RV around, connect the trailer back up and then put the car back on the trailer. Only RV dealership I’ve ever been to that is NOT RV FRIENDLY!!! I’m giving 5 stars only because of Adam, otherwise it’d be a 3.
We were having issues with the car trailer we were pulling behind our RV while driving down 77S. Stopped in to ask a few questions and the service guy, Adam, went out of his way to answer all our questions, give us a few pointers, and help us get safely back out on our travels. Extremely grateful to him! The manager was a little rude, you’d expect better people skills from a manager.
Guess what. Surprise, surprise. The refrigerator doesn't work. Don't know what I'm going to do next. These guys STINK!
went in looking for camper accessories and was completely ignored even though there were about 15 assorted people in the store cutting up and carrying on with Camping world shirts on.. i finally found a person that would talk to me but he was no help and acted like i was bothering him (granted he WAS the only one that seemed to actually be doing something) and suggested i wait for the parts guy to get back from lunch.. needed some new vents for my RV among other things and the ones they had out didn't have hardware and looked USED.. asked if they had any NEW ones in boxes.. was told that is what they had...wasted trip..
Dropped our coach off for service because we were having an issue with our Fridge. The staff was wonderful and they were able to get us fixed and camping in a timely fashion! Our fridge is working great now! Thank you so much Chris Stewart for getting us taken care of so quickly!
These guys are pretty good at selling you an RV. But when it comes to warranty service on that RV that they sold you with defective equipment, not so much. The warranty work is apparently the back of the service queue, and is very likely bumped further back by anybody who comes in with paying work. They don't call back when you ask for status. The season is slipping away, and my brand new RV is sitting in their yard where it was before I bought it.
