Nice, quiet park. Plenty of shady trees
Nice place for a walk and to memorialize but be prepared for the homeless people who no longer ask for spare change. Now it's "Can I get a couple of dollars to get something to eat? " And this park is literally located within blocks of two homeless facilities and numerous places that provides them with free meals.
I try to get to every park I can and this park was a great memorial park, dedications to The USS Columbia, Pearl Harbor and more. Thanks for an awesome stop.
Saw the solar eclipse of 2017 here. I fully expect that everyone that comes to this park will have an identical experience.
