Strange feeling, strange people...when something feels off it is. My car Chrysler Town and Country will only change gears in hot weather and whines sometimes. They told me it was a solenoid issue but it can't be because it was replaced in 2015. They said the diagnostic was unclear and wouldn't tell me the rest of the results until i paid 400 dollars!! I am taking it somewhere else to get more professional opinion...

Odd service, odd tale...

This shop did a complete diagnosis and found out that it was the knock sensor that was causing the transmission to shift improperly. The repair was done for less than $300 and I was out the same day. I highly recommend this shop to others as they are honest and upfront.

I took my girlfriend 2014 Nissan Versa to this shop, they told me it was a CVT Transmission. I made the decision to have the car tow to a different spot Action Transmission. I was told that it is not a transmission problem, AAMCO Transmission said they would charge me $2,000 to replace it with a used one and install include. I was able to get more opinion and save my self the money, I'm taking this car to Dick Smith Nissan and have it check. After looking at the review on this business it give me a second idea, thanks a lot people. Reviewing the business owner responses, he never denied his fraud he is committing either which makes me realized he is proud of committing fraud and taking people money. I will never take my damn car there ever.

Reply.. you sure have my husband name Ordny Amnatkeo on file and we have called you and talked to you about smelling gasoline in the car... And yes corperate will be hearing from us. Have a great day.

I called this shop on 7/12/16 about my transmission, the gentleman was very polite and scheduled me in immediately. I went to two other places previously including the dealership and they both told me it was my transmission and told me that it would cost in excess of $3000 to get it repaired.

Bonus: They never called to tell me about my car. Had to call them, were they going to let my car sit forever until someone noticed...come on guys!

Oh by the way, there is no TV in the lobby, only a small radio tuned in to the Bible Broadcasting Network. I totally enjoyed the sermon while waiting.

In August 2017 as I was driving my daughter to Univ of So Carolina, my late model Voyager minivan began losing transmission fluid. A visit to the Columbia AAA garage found that ghe transmission pump seal was cracked. I looked down the list of transmission shops online and picked AAMCO. I was a little uncertain when I walked into the ancient lobby, a relic of the 1960s, but the incredibly gracious owner, James, reassured me that I would be able to get on the road for home that day. The van needed two seals and an O ring, but my van got done by late afternoon, and has not lost one drop of fluid since. Work came in only a few dollars over the original estimate (because more parts were needed) and that was fine with me. I deeply appreciate the help in getting back home in time to get back to work. Thank you and God bless!

If I could give 0 starts I would. Came in for a tune up and ended up paying $400 to find out a week later I have a gasoline leak from the injector that could've killed me and my family.. Now it costs me another $600 to fix that leak that could've been prevented. Very bad job. Never again and don't recommend this place.
