After the bathtub was installed and our tile contractors completed their installation of the shower wall tiles, we allowed our daughter to take her first bath 48 hours after the install was complete. We were horrified to learn the new bathtub drain leaked all over our new ceiling in the downstairs kitchen. We hired them to replace our old leaking bathtub and all they did was install a new bathtub that did the same exact thing.
Our experience with Southern Pride Plumbing has been less then stellar, primarily in their follow-up visits (or lack thereof). When they installed a temporary cap on our daughters bathtub spout to stop the previous leak, their cap later began leaking itself a few hours later. We tried to contact Southern Pride to comeback out and resolve the issue. The best answer we got was for us to remove their cap and let the leak continue into a bucket. After hours calls for bad work is not part of the service I guess?
Since after hours calls and follow-up visits are not part of the service standard, I would warn any of my friends and colleagues to stay away from this company. Paying less for plumbing does not always mean you will save money in the long run. I've learned my lesson.
I've used southern Pride Plumbing to install several tankless water heaters for my business and they did a jam up job. Every install looks neat and works perfectly. We have had no problems or call backs. I would recommend them highly for any plumbing project you may have.
We decided to use this company for a bathtub installation after a friend referred them to us based on their past experience. I was really hoping for a good experience, as I was tired of paying too much for plumbing services from the larger competitors in our area. This was a BIG mistake on my part!
I did not get a quote up front for this work! This is important because the rest of this review was all executed as a time and material job, ouch!

Southern Pride took close to eight (8) hours, or two days to install a bathtub and replace the existing plumbing in the bathroom. Based on the owners comments, I was going to be amazed at how fast they would be able to install the bathtub. Well, I was not amazed.
