I just moved to the area and placed an order online to pick up. I placed the order around 10am and went to pick up at 5:30pm. I checked in at the pick up counter and was told they were bringing my order up. Another lady approached the counter after me and a gentleman who worked at the store went outside with her. About 15 minutes later, I'm still waiting and the man who went outside with the other customer was supposedly the one who was bringing up my order. The lady at the counter, Kristie, called her manager to get the gentleman, Mike, to go pull my order. Mike reentered the building with the other customer about 10 minutes later, and yelled over at Kristie, looking irritated. Kristie ended up leaving her register to go get my items, which had not even been pulled yet. I was beyond frustrated and did not get an apology from anyone. I ordered online to save time, and ended up spending more time at Lowe's than if I had just walked in and purchased everything in the store myself. Having worked in customer service for a number of years, if a customer is waiting for any period of time, you at least should apologize. I appreciated Kristie going and pulling my order for me because I'm pretty sure that was not under her job duties for today, but I did not appreciate being "skipped" in line and then not given an apology for having to wait almost 45 minutes to get my already purchased order.
Open up more checkout lanes!! My favorite thing to do is sit in line for half an hour when I come to buy something!! Watched 3 customers put their items down and walk out....This is why I prefer Ace Hardware, they know how to treat a customer at least.
I prefer Lowe's over the other Home Improvement store because they have better products and usually it's easier to find someone to help. Today, it took quite a while for someone to come by and answer basic questions about ceiling fans. However the person was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. He even apologized for the long wait.
I went to Lowe's for a paint match around 10a.m. The lady at the paint counter asked what type of paint I needed so I said interior. Then she asked what brand, to which I replied I don't know much about paint. She then said well I need to know what brand. Now in my frustration I asked her could she call someone over that could explain the different brands of paint to me. Then she replies "Oh I can do that". Long story short I got my paint home and botched my walls because as the paint dried I realized it didn't match. I was able to get a perfect match at Sherwin Williams.
Bought a kobalt 80v 21in push mower, get home to set it up and NO BATTERIES IN THE BOX!!! Was suppose to come with 2 BATTERIES and spend 35 minutes on hold waiting for someone to come back and give me direction of possibilities. Nothing! Had to call back to be on hold again for another 10 minutes to be told to bring it back! Now with PROPER CUSTOMER SERVICE COMMUNICATION SKILLS that could have been handled within a few minutes!! I only will go to Lowe's off of Two Notch Rd. Or Harbison Blvd. From now on!! Service is extremely poor and not attentive at all!!! Don't waste your time with Lowe's off of Killian Rd. Not to mention it should be noted that my mower was never properly checked before being put on the floor for sale!! Absolutely Ridiculous!!!
