The whole crew were pleasant, caring and very good workers. Many remembered working on my house in 2008 and knew which parts of my house they had built.
We had 3 holes in the roof and after they were repaired , a new roof was put on. Inside we had damage to the dining room ceiling. This was fixed and the whole kitchen and dining room ceiling and walls were repainted. Also any extra work outside was done.
I am having some work done on my front porch right now and I called Rumsey as I knew they would do a great job.
We have dealt with Rumsey on several different things. The management team as well as the project managers are very professional, clean, and communicate what needs to be done in a timely way. Their carpenters who come into your home are neat, clean, and care about your home.
I would highly recommend them and have done so already for customers that I deal with.

The Rumsey team is absolutely fantastic. We had an appliance failure that caused significant flooding to our home. Rumsey was highly recommended and rightfully so! In addition to restoring the damage, we also had a list of upgrades we were interested in. Eric and team helped us match our wish list with our budget, worked with the insurance company to address issues with their estimate, and coordinated top notch and highly skilled subcontractors to complete the work. They clearly outlined options and risks, listened closely to feedback along the way, addressed concerns we had in a timely manner, and erred on the side of over-communicating, all of which was very much appreciated. In an industry which can seem predatory at times, Rumsey puts customer satisfaction at the top of their priorities and is driven by providing as great an experience as possible and the highest quality possible. My lovely house looked as good as the day it was built.
Rumsey construction originally built my house in 2008. In 2016 when Hurricane Matthew came through Columbia, a tree fell on my house. Rumsey folks saw the Facebook post and said call us and we will come out. I did and they were wonderful. After the tree was removed, they were here and had a tarp on the roof, and the wet insulation removed and they then dealt with the insurance company.
Rumsey Construction came on board before I closed on the purchase of a fixer upper. I received their estimate in a timely manner. One of their representatives even came to the DDRC meeting where my Bailey Bill application was being considered. They have been awesome to work with, and the quality of their work is top notch! I wholeheartedly recommend them.
