I've been several times for both lunch and dinner but never left that impressed. The portions are fairly small and everything I've tried has lacked flavor. At my most recent visit for lunch I had the shrimp and rice.
There were only about 5 medium shrimp in a $15 serving which was served over under cooked rice that was crunchy. There was nearly no flavor in the succotash which was dry even though there was supposed to be some sort of au jus. Service is great though and they have some creative drinks.
Damian was not a friendly server, nor was he very attentive. Several instances led me to this feeling overall of being ignored and treated less important than his other tables. He also snapped at the female server who first greeted our table by shouting "this is not your table, this is my section," which is obviously a private conversation for the back of house. Food portions were very small, zero room for flexibility on scrambled eggs vs. fried eggs... which is extremely silly for Sunday brunch. Damian rudely expressed this rule to our visiting guests, and insisted we not stray from the menu options on how we like our eggs cooked. No worries, we will not be back to visit him soon. Unpleasant experience for all four of us.
Best restaurant in Columbia. They put so much thought and passion into their craft. I love that they right a unique menu every day. They use local ingredients. It's fantastic!
Went there today for my friends birthday lunch. Friendly staff, they seated us a few min before they opened. I ordered a bloody Mary and it was served in a lowball glass, never seen that, no condiments like olives or celery there either. No bread was offered. Food was very good. Seems like with sauce or broth based entrees a spoon would have been offered or provided. Server only came back to table once to check on us. Over all not the best experience but been places worse.
Lovely, amazing presentation of delicious and unctuous food. Great service, beautiful space and a warm staff. Cannot recommend enough!
