The burgers were alright. I had the french connection and the whole pieces of garlic were too much for a burger as almost all of them fell out of my sandwich when i picked it up. The brie was lacking as well...could have used more brie and less garlic. But the patty itself was good and the sweet potatoe fries were nice. Not sure I would have paired them with a lemon sauce but overall not a horrible flavor combo. Not sure I'll be back.
Very good food, nice waitstaff, quaint atmosphere. Rather pricey. $8-$12 just for a burger (not including any sides), but their burgers are pretty delicious. Cool adult milkshakes, cocktails, and unique appetizers. Good place to meet friends or take the family. Parking may be a challenge depending on time of day. I recommend you park (metered) by Chipotle and walk the 1.5 blocks if you can't find nearer street-side parking available on Gervais.
We had Grill Mark's in Columbia, SC for an early dinner last Sunday evening. The food was good and the menu has an awesome selection of items that look to be worth going back for. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was friendly, even bringing a water bowl for my wife's service dog. The only downside was the open outdoor layout made it sticky in the SC humidity. I am definitely planning to go back and try some of the different gourmet burgers.
