Been going here for 6 years. Have had everything from a standard trim to a High Top Fade and Mohawk. Can't beat the price, they take their time (make sure to slot time for it) and you can be confident about the cut because their Instructors will not let you leave without a thorough inspection of a trained eye. Love going here, and i feel good about letting the students learn.
I went to school here for a while. The other students I met were really nice, and in the beginning the staff was sweet people too. I would rather put a 0 star rating for this Paul Mitchell school. After a few months the staff started bullying me, I saw the counselor Nikki yelling at other students when something wasn't right (this is a school everything is not going to be perfect) and making other students cry. All they care about is making money not about your education. You would think because of the name Paul Mitchell which lives up to high standards the staff/teachers would be professional like they tell us to be but they are not they still act like teenagers. Half of the instructors "Learning leaders" pick and chose what students they like and if they don't like you then you will be ignored and stared at rudely and talked about with other staff. I got bullied by the learning leaders even though I was doing great, looking professional like they want, getting close to 100s on every theory test, but what the owner told me I was friends with the wrong crowd. So i'm not allowed the pick my friends even though they were good people too and thats why teachers treated me so rudely that every morning before I dropped out I would dread having to go to the school because the teachers were so rude to me for no reason. Also the color we work with is so cheap, I had other students play with my hair with the color a few times and I of coursed played with it a lot and it is not professional that i would not recommend coming here to get your hair done, yes its a cheap price but save up and actual go to a Salon with real professional color. But again Paul mitchell the school in columbia is horrible and they just want your money, and thats it, its all drama made by the teachers and nikki. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND unless if you want to waste your money and time!!

Jonathan C. that works there is absolutely amazing! I had one of the WORST cuts and color I have ever had when I was first introduced to him and when I thought there was no hope left for my hair, he worked his magic and I walked out of there with the BEST cut and color I have ever had! I was always trying to grow my hair out but the cut he had to fix made it to where I had to go shorter in order for it to look like I wasn't a circus freak anymore! But the cut he did was beyond brilliant and made me feel absolutely FABULOUS and it looks amazing! The color? Perfection. For the first time, I do not want my hair to grow because I want to keep this look forever! I have found my signature look thanks to him! I have never felt better about my hair. I completely recommend Jonathan to everyone. If you want to find that look that compliments you in ways you never would have though of, go to Jonathan. Want to walk out of a salon feeling like a million dollars? Go to Jonathan. Want that bounce and hair flip feeling you get when you have the best cut/color of your life? Go to Jonathan. Just go. You will not regret it! He will be my hair stylist for as long as I can keep him!
I came in just wanting a nice styled blowout for the weekend. Thought it would be pretty simple since all hairstylists no matter what level SHOULD know how to do a simple blowout, but I left with the girl just blow drying my hair with absolutely 0 style. I left with my hair a frizzy disaster and had to go to an actual salon right after to fix it. If you were to go I would suggest making sure you're getting someone that actually knows what they're doing.
Also, for the guys, their barber training program is open now which even offers beard trims and straight razor shaves!
They took such good care for me. I love my cut. BTW if u are under the age of 18 then u need a parent to give u permission because it's students. But great I loved it. Only cost $6
