Cons: Even with remodel the aisles are tight especially for mobility impaired customers; selection within items is often limited; selection of fresh produce is usually limited.
Very good experience shopping at this facility. The shelves were well stocked and easy to access.
I like shopping here even though they perpetually remodel. Gonna start buying my ground beef elsewhere though. I keep getting old meat wrapped inside fresh meat. Ugh.
The atmosphere is pleasent. The prices are very reasonable. They sell about 90% of the same things that you would find off post. The only thing that frustrates me is that every now and then I would get use to a certain product, and they may discontinue it, or not have it in stock for a while.
Overall good quality foods with better prices than Wal Mart and Kroger, especially for pet foods, meat and non-food items.
Pros: Freshly remodeled with a new deli counter; meats area is generally well stocked with good quality meat, better prices than Wal Mart; plenty of free parking especially for disabled Veterans.
This trip to the commissary was a short shopping trip to pickup fresh vegetables, fruit and meat. I had a good experience as usual without any mishaps. The grocery attendant was courteous and polite. The attendant bagging my grocery was mindful of bagging certain items in separate bags. The Fort Jackson commissary gives you a choice of bagging your groceries in plastic or in brown paper bags!
