Okay, not only was the review 3 years ago, but it has to be incorrect. I have been a LaRoque customer for a few years and have never had any problems what-so-ever. I have pieces in my closet from 3 years ago that still look brand new, and the quality is great. As for bridesmaids, I am not married yet, but I have several friends who have had their bridesmaids dresses made at LaRoque and none have had any problems. It is understood that if you don't have your measurements taken in the store and send them in, they have no idea if they measurements you sent are correct or not, so a perfect fit definitely isnt guaranteed.
Beautiful clothing, excellent communication customer service.
Always a delightful place to shop for me. I have never had a bad experience in the three years I have been shopping with Laroque. Annabelle and her staff are knowledgeable and polite. She has reworked a wedding gown, made a MOB dress for me and I have purchased too many granddaughter dresses to even count. I love to give gift certificates from her shop to my friends. It is a unique shop for people who don't like mass produced clothing. A special store with a great staff.
This small business has been here for 7 years, and I would think it there were any truth in the post below, LaRoque would not have lasted 7 years.
For a small southern town I expected much more from a young lady who's business will depend on her skill and reputation.
I recently had a dress made by this young lady for a wedding. The bride had 11 bridesmaids dresses made, 13+ bowties made and her rehearsal dinner dress made, which seems like a lot of business for a small company. Not only were the dresses extremely overpriced, they were poorly made. I am able to sew myself so I know the required work for such a garment. Many of the girls had to have the dress taken in over 3 inches on each side and over half the zippers up the back took 2 people to zip up past the rouging over the waist. I, in fact, sent my dress back to her to have the zipper replaced, as I believed other people should have. When I talked to her about the situation, she was curt, unhelpful and hung up on me before I could finish asking questions. When I made my down payment, she called me twice in the following weeks accusing me of not paying and clearly showed her poor business skills and organization.
Best experience buying in this store. I have purchased online and in the store and have never had anything but an amazing experience. My sister purchased a dress for her daughter and the thread came unraveled... owner fixed it with no questions asked. The owner is lovely and the shop is welcoming. Will buy at this local store over other local stores where people don't talk to you or acknowledge you.
