Very Poor Service. Rude CSR. Pay $1254 in tax and they can't even get the info over to the DMV to get your tag decal to you! What are we paying these people for?! Said they don't have a fax number for the DMV?!
Much faster service than in years past.
We received my husbands car tax statement today. We are being billed 5 times what we've paid in Greenville. The roads in Columbia are complete crap and have already messed up the alignment on my car. This is robbery. There is a $300 tax for the schools added to our yearly car tax, and yet the schools here are also terrible in comparison to Greenville. There is apparently a gross misuse of money in Richland County, and someone should be held accountable for this.
Was a little uneasy about coming here this morning because of all the bad reviews. Surprisingly my experience was the total opposite. I had to visit the Auditor's department and the Treasury department. The lines were pretty long, but the staff was swift. Didn't stand in either line more than 3 mins.
If could give them a lower rating I would. I was talking to someone because we are a military family and have not received our tags yet. We are in Virginia and have already paid for our tags. The lady kept saying go to the DMV, but obviously her listening comprehension was not up to par since she kept repeating and trying to talk over me. Or she was not qualified for the job. Either way, she placed me on hold and put me through the BEGINNING OF THE RECORDING! Worst experience ever. I've never been treated with such disrespect. She was RUDE and had an attitude. I called back to get to a supervisor, but surprise surprise, the supervisor was not available.
