TD bank does not abide by the law in relationship to personal items in safety deposit boxes. Have a box that flooded and TD bank is not returning the items due to contamination. They said water in the bank tested for ecoli in which no documents were given or shown that that was in fact the case. They are not giving any items back until items are clear of ecoli. They don't understand that these items are yours and they don't have a legal right to keep your items. They are acting like these items are theirs and doing what they want with them without any regards of the customer. They just don't seem to get it that you determine if your items will be cleaned and by who and how. My items have been tested 3 times by who and how, I don't know. They have tested positive supposedly, have never seen any documents that back the results up. They are not even calling me and letting me know that they are cleaning retesting, the results of my items. I have to call them to get this information. I have not authorized any of these cleanings or testing of my items. If you have anything with TD bank you better pull your items , money out while you can. I have contacted corporate and they can't give me an answer either. Don't be fooled by their advertisements connecting with organizations, these folks are not customer friendly. They would not even give me any phone numbers for their corporate executives, only here in Columbia SC. If you have an issue with this bank you need to contact your lawyer quickly. This bank is a national bank and is federally regulated, you can contact The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and or the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. TD bank is a Canadian bank that does not care about customers in the US and thinks its above the law.
Do not bank with them worst bank in America takes a long time for them to approve your money on your account and by that time you have over draft fees from billers collecting and what do you know td bank don't tell you that they just let it keep stacking up
This bank is awesome from the customer service to the every day banking services. While everyone is always so nice and helpful, Christina has always been there to help in any situation I have with a great attitude and wonderful smile.
